Guided by the mission of uplifting underprivileged women and children across Sri Lanka, the Hearts of Joy Foundation is a CSR project initiated by Ninewells Hospital, Sri Lanka’s frontrunner in women and childcare.

As an organisation, Ninewells has consistently strived to give back to its stakeholders and neighbouring communities in a meaningful way, and Hearts of Joy is a culmination of our long-standing passion and dedication towards the same.

The Foundation operates on funds allocated by Ninewells Hospital, as well as the financial contributions of well – wishers and benefactors, in order to provide clothing, food, educational materials and minor infrastructure development facilities. This is done with the hope of empowering underprivileged women, children and families to rise above their adversity and build a sustainable livelihood for themselves.
